The Ogden Temple is Beautiful...
Now.! It's beautiful right now, before renovations. I never thought the Ogden Temple was in any way less beautiful than the other Temples. I'm getting married in the Ogden Temple, in just a few weeks, because I love the Ogden Temple. I'm very sad about the new renovations. When I have children, they are not even going to be able to recognize the Ogden Temple in my wedding pictures, because it will be completely different. Essentially the temple I get married in, won't even exist in a few years. What is even worse, my brother Tim, who loves the Ogden Temple just as much, if not more than I do, will likely not be able to get married in it at all. RIP old Ogden Temple. I always loved you.

Remember it is not the exterior that is important. It is what happens inside that really matters. Get over it.
I find it interesting that all the people who are telling us to get over it weren't married in the Ogden temple. It is a little sad, change is hard.
Don't you think that if they decided to conmpletely overhaul the Salt Lake Temple, or the Logan Temple, all the people who were married there would be sad?
I wouldn't care. Melinda says that she would be ok. I just don't see the point of whining about it.
My parents were married in the Ogden Temple and it makes me pretty sad that they're going to drastically change a place that makes me think of them and smile.
But, if they are doing it.....That means our prophet said it was OK.That means the lord said it was Ok. So, it's OK. I am sure there is good reason that we probably don't even know about......I too agree with Sam. It's what we do in it that matters, not what it looks like. We are so blessed to have a Temple so close. So many, don't.For the record, I would be fine if the Salt Lake Temple was torn to the ground, if that's what the lord said to do.(I was married there in case you didn't know)We may not understand, but that's Ok. Because the Gospel is still true.
It's not so much that it's killing our testimony or anything like that. We understand it's been approved and everything it's that we are sad. Wouldn't you at least feel a little sad if this were to happen to Salt Lake? That's what we're really saying, we feel bad and disappointed.
